We handheld the client towards preparedness for an M&A due diligence, by ensuring data readiness, business and financial analysis on historical performance and future projections, interfacing with investment bankers and potential investors and coordinating between the client team and other advisors for timely closure.
As part of the funding agreement the investor had mandated having a robust budgeting and reporting system . Being a seed funded company our US based client had to grapple with many uncertainties while creating the business plan. Post detailed discussions with the company’s management team and Board members, we created an Annual Operating Plan that captured these uncertainties in the form of multiple scenarios. Such scenarios gave much better visibility to our client and investors on the key business risks and resultant impact on cashflows. These insights helped our client focus on the near term business acquisition strategies while keeping the longer term strategic intent in perspective with sharp focus on cash flows.
We helped our client to formulate and articulate a strategic business plan which was aligned with founders’ vision of the company. We created multiple financial models of the business plan which gave the client a greater clarity on its growth plan and key focus areas for geographical expansion . We validated these plans through secondary market research and competitors study. In order to manage the company’s operations better we also established a reporting and monitoring framework for the management of the company.
We worked with a Bangalore based , patented and award winning fluorophore company developing safe biotech consumables and storage medium for COVID 19 Test Kits at affordable prices . Our work involved articulating a three year plan for the company based on immediate and rapidly growing demand for its molecular transport medium for COVID Testing . We looked at multiple assumptions for rapid scaling of manufacturing facilities and translating the same into an operating and financial plan with cash flow sensitivities that they could take to their investor for funding.
We worked side by side with the client to develop their MIS reporting and a Working Capital Management framework that would enable them to manage their working capital in an integrated fashion and a sustainable manner. We also partnered with them to establish a governance framework to enable going review and successful execution and tracking of the Working Capital management process.
